What is Embryo Transfer?
After fertilization in the lab (either through IVF or ICSI), the resulting embryo is monitored for a few days. The healthiest embryo is selected and gently transferred into the woman’s uterus using a thin catheter under ultrasound guidance.
Types of Embryo Transfer:

Fresh Embryo Transfer: Embryos are transferred 3–5 days after egg retrieval in the same cycle.

Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET): Embryos are cryopreserved and transferred in a future cycle when the uterus is optimally prepared.
